In addition to the official agenda, the first afternoon will be dedicated to a special side event featuring presentations and panel discussions on both local and international issues. Our Host

STOART (Union of Performing Artists) stands as Poland’s first and

largest collective management organization specifically established to protect
the rights of musical performers. Founded in 1995, shortly after the
landmark Polish Copyright Act of 1994, STOART was born from the grassroots
initiative of the artistic community who recognized the urgent need for a
professional body to manage neighbouring rights in a rapidly changing
post-communist market.

Over the past three decades, the organization has
evolved from a pioneering domestic union into a global powerhouse, now
representing the interests of over 1 million performers through an
expansive network of international reciprocal agreements. STOART’s history is
defined by its relentless advocacy for fair remuneration across all platforms,
from traditional broadcasting to modern streaming. By bridging the gap between
the legendary masters of the 20th-century Polish music scene and the
digital-native performers of today, STOART has become a vital guardian of the
creative economy.

As a long-standing member of SCAPR, STOART continues
to build on this rich legacy, participating in the development of global
standards for transparency and efficiency, ensuring that every note played and
every voice recorded receives the recognition and compensation it deserves in
an increasingly borderless world.
