SESSION OVERVIEW & DETAILS
5. PANEL: From Screen to Revenue: Capturing the True Worth of AV Performances
• Duration: 45-60 minutes
• Format: short overview presentation by Dr. Sašo Polanec + Panel discussion
• Overview:
Audiovisual performances lie at the core of both the cultural and economic activity of the main users of Audiovisual works, such as TV stations, cable operators, video streaming platforms and movie theaters. This panel will explore the true value of the AV repertoire in contexts where its use is not only significant but essential to the services provided by users.
Through a focused expert presentation followed by an open discussion, we will examine how collective management organizations can ensure that their tariffs accurately reflect the economic value of the AV repertoire and how the user benefits from it.
How can CMOs more effectively articulate and defend the indispensable contribution of actors’ performances in today’s digital and Audiovisual economy? This session aims to spark ideas and promote remuneration as fair as possible.
