What is SCAPR

The aim of this collaboration, which maintained an informal, bilateral nature, was to develop bilateral relations between the performers' rights organizations.  This is in order to ensure that performers will receive remuneration for those economic rights that are due to performing artists both internationally and nationally.

Since the founding meeting in Oslo on 27 September 2001, SCAPRs activities have taken on a more formal nature, but with the same aim as before.  We feel it is important that performers' rights are administered in a transparent, efficient and cost-effective way.  Performers must feel that their interests are being correctly protected when their performances are being exploited in the extensive environment of technology and media.

Our hope is that this website shall give you information about SCAPR and of the importance of artists protection according to performers' rights.  For more information see below SCAPR's Policy and Guidelines and the Statutes.  Click on the PDF icon to download.
